Tena Vukasović Hlupić, Ph.D.

Tena Vukasović Hlupić was born in 1984 in Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated psychology from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in 2008, with the graduation paper titled Family study: the level of measuring personality and the familial aggregation estimates. She completed her PhD studies at the same institution in 2013, with the doctoral thesis entitled Genetic and environmental influences on personality: a meta-analysis of behavior genetic studies.
She started working at the Department of Psychology as a research assistant in 2008, and continued her work as a senior research assistant from 2014. Her scientific work has resulted in eight published articles, and active participation in more than 20 international scientific conferences with more than 30 presentations/posters. Apart from her work as a research assistant, she has also been an active lecturer for different courses in undergraduate (Emotion and motivation, Personality psychology), graduate (Behavior genetics) and doctoral (Meta-analysis) psychology programs.
As a member of the Program and Organizing Committee, she helped organize three international scientific conferences (Ramiro and Zoran Bujas’ Days) and two projects focused on popularization of psychology (PsihoFest). She also participated in three summer schools and was a co-organizer for one summer school. From 2009, she has also been working as a counselor at the Student Counseling Center of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The main research areas of Tena Vukasović Hlupić are the field of personality psychology and behaviour genetics. In her research she has used specific behavioural genetic methodology (family studies, twin studies) and statistical procedures developed for analysing data of genetically related participants, with phenotype dominantly being personality. Also, she has conducted meta-analyses in the field of personality psychology and behaviour genetics.

From 2009 Tena Vukasović Hlupić has been working as a counselor at the Student Counseling Center, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences University of Zagreb, where she does individual counseling and psycho-educative groups, and also participates in regular supervisions.
