Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that the registration and abstract submission for the 5th European Student Conference on Behaviour & Cognition is now open. The conference will be held from 5th to 8th of September 2018 at the University of Vienna, UZA II PharmazieGeoZentrum. It is hosted by the Vienna Doctoral School CoBeNe and organized by doctoral students of the University of Vienna and University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. The conference will have 20 student talks and 50 posters from six areas of animal behaviour and cognition (see the attached abstract submission form). Priv. Doz. Dr. Judith Burkart from the University of Zurich, Dr. Anna Vargáné Kis from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Angela Stöger from University of Vienna and Dr. Raoul Schwing from University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna will give plenary talks at the conference.

ESCBCs bring early-career researchers from different disciplines together to present and discuss their work. The aim is to encourage MSc and PhD students to participate in and contribute to a stimulating academic discussion about recent developments in their research fields, share information and ideas, discuss current topics and problems, and enable networking. To enable students from various European universities without a steady income to participate in the conference, conference registration, lunches and coffee breaks will be free of charge. Hence, while we do not have a registration deadline, we will only be able to support 100 participants.

For further information, to submit abstracts and to register, please visit our website: http://escbc.org. We would be grateful if you could spread word to your colleagues and we look forward to seeing you at the conference!
